Hi there! My name is Nina and I am mama to three boys and married to my high school sweetheart. I enjoy documenting all things home-related on my Instagram page “diariesofmyhome” I created it as a little space for me to share how I make my house into our cozy home and the small things in-between.

I LOVE THE SUMMER, BUT FALL IS NEXT IN LINE

My favorite season is summer but second to that is the Fall! I love how the leaves start changing color, you can cozy up at home by the fireplace, and with fall also comes my birthday! In the fall, I love to make cozy hot chocolate and definitely sip on my hot cafecito (coffee)! But, I also really love Dalgona coffee too!

DISCOVERING THE COZIEST FALL DRINK

I discovered the Dalgona coffee during quarantine time. I mean, I am pretty sure lots of us discovered how to get creative at home during this time. ;-)  My sister sent me a Tik Tok video of someone making the Dalgona coffee and I just KNEW I had to make it! I am such a coffee-lover that it wasn’t even a question in my mind! So, I made the Dalgona for my husband and I. Annnd, I was HOOKED. I make it every single Saturday for me and Shaunie. While I do prefer warm beverages in the colder months, the Dalgona is something I still enjoy year-round. I even found a recipe to transform it into a pumpkin spice version!

HOW I MAKE DALGONA COFFEE

RECIPE:

(Serves 2 )

2 tablespoons Foldgers Instant Coffee (it HAS to be instant coffee)

2 tablespoons sugar

2 tablespoons warm/hot water

Milk

STEPS:

  1. Combine ingredients above (minus the milk) into a bowl

  2. With an electric hand mixer, mix all the ingredients together on medium speed until the consistency is whipped

  3. Pour milk (could be any kind of milk) into two cups (I like to use mason jars)

  4. Add a splash of creamer into each cup too for added sweetness

  5. Scoop half of the whipped coffee into one cup and the other half into the other cup

  6. Add ice

  7. Get straw and stir it, then enjoy!
